Injury problems continue to haunt Real Madrid’s start of the season as midfielder Isco has also joined the list of casualties.
The Spaniard has picked up a muscular injury, Real Madrid confirmed in a statement.
“After the tests carried out today on our player Isco by Real Madrid’s Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the biceps femoris,” the club said in a statement
“His situation will continue to be assessed.”
The 27-year-old’s injury is Los Blancos’ tenth of the season.
On Sunday, Real Madrid confirmed that James Rodriguez suffered a calf injury during Real Madrid’s draw against Real Valladolid on Saturday.
James and Isco join the likes of Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio, Ferland Mendy and Brahim Diaz.
Brahim’s injury during Real’s training camp in Montreal started a cycle of injuries.
Marco Asensio, who has come ou the worst, is likely to miss the majority of the season, if not full. The 23-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during a game against Arsenal.
Summer signing Ferland Mendy also picked up a muscular problem and is still recovering.
While Real Madrid’s latest Galactico Eden Hazard has already missed Real Madrid’s opening fixtures with a thigh discomfort. However, according to several reports in the Spanish media, Hazard might be available for the club’s next fixture.
Luka Jovic, Thibaut Courtois, Rodrygo Goes and Eder Militao have also been on the medical headlines. Although, their recovery were quicker than expected.
Before the International break, Real Madrid will travel to face Villareal on Sunday.
