Saina Nehwal on Saturday defeated He Bingjiao of China in a three tight game to enter the finals of Indonesia Masters in Jakarta.

The ace shuttler stayed on course for her first title in 2019 she advanced towards the final season of the tournament.

The eight seed won the contest by 18-21, 21-12, 21-18 against Chinese sixth seed.

In the first encounter, though Saina raced a lead to an 11-7, Bingjiao fought back to take the game. The game lasted 58 minutes.

Nevertheless, Saina found her rhythm back by the second game. She put forth her excellent performance 21-12 score to force a decider in the match.

In the neck-and-neck battle, Saina sealed the contest with a 21-18 score.

Saina had won a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and a bronze at the Asian Games. She also reached finals at Denmark, Indonesia Masters and Syed Modi International the same year.

During the summit clash, the Indian shuttler will face the winner of the second semifinal.
