Batting first, the home side put up 178 runs on board courtesy of brilliant innings from Shubhman Gill and Andre Russell.

In the absence of Sunil Narine and the new signing Matt Kelly, KKR bowling was all over the place as the Delhi Capitals chased down the target in the 19th over. Shikhar Dhawan’s unbeaten 97 and Rishabh Pant’s 46 propelled Delhi to a top four position in the IPL 2019 table.

Kolkata Knight Riders owner praised the batting performances of Shubhman Gill and Andre Russell but wasn’t happy with the bowling performance of his side.

But, the Bollywood superstar reserved his highest respects for former India and KKR skipper Sourav Ganguly who is a huge fan favorite at the Eden Gardens writing a special message for him on Twitter.

SRK wrote “Wonderful play by @RealShubmanGill & @Russell12A yet again. Losing is ok but today we kind of lacked heart, especially bowling, that’s sad. Only positive out of this game was that our Dada @SGanguly99 was at Eden on the winning side. Congrats @DelhiCapitals.”
