As Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni turned 38 on July 7, a lot of messages poured in on the social media platform Twitter, including India skipper Virat Kohli.

A heartfelt reply from Dhoni’s successor, Virat Kohli, grabbed the maximum eyeballs from the cricket fans around the globe.

It went on to become the most retweeted sports tweet on Twitter for the year 2019, as it grabbed 47 thousand retweets, along with over four lakh likes.

Calling the 38-year-old a big brother, Kohli said that the wicket-keeper batsman will always remain his captain.

“Happy birthday Mahi Bhai @msdhoni. Very few people understand the meaning of trust and respect and I’m glad to have had the friendship I have with you for so many years. You’ve been a big brother to all of us and as I said before, you will always be my captain,” Virat wrote on Twitter.

MS Dhoni has been on the sidelines ever since India’s semi-final exit in the 50-over World Cup, earlier this year.
