Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro, dubbed the “Flagship Killer 2.0”.
Both Redmi K20 and K20 Pro come with 48 MP main cameras, OLED panels with UD fingerprint scanners and elevating cameras. K20 is powered by the Snapdragon 730, while the Pro has a Snapdragon 855.
REDMI’s K20 and K20 pro comes with a pop-up selfie camera, Full-screen AMOLED display. The REDMI K20 pro comes up with a Snapdragon 855 chipset and triple camera.
The REDMI K20 pro will be available in four variants, while K20 will only be available in 2 variants. Although, apart from the Chipset, both flagship models have the same specifications.
- The Redmi K20 starts from Rs 20,000 for the base variant and comes with a Snapdragon 730 SoC.
- The Redmi K20 Pro starts from Rs 25,000 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage.
Design wise, Redmi K series has a gradient back. The front, on the other hand, is completely bezel-less.
The Redmi K20 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, while, Redmi K20, on the other hand, exhibits Snapdragon 730 chipset that comes with the Adreno 616 GPU. Acoording to REDMI, K20 pro and K20 have achieved 388,803 points, and 218,00 points on AnTuTu, respectively.
For display, the Redmi K20 phones use a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with no notch and very slim bezels. it also gets an in-display fingerprint sensor. the phone can control brightness more effectively in lower ambient light, as it supports DC dimming.
The Redmi K20 comes in three colours – Carbon Fibre, Blue and Red. The colours have a unique gradient finish. The Carbon Fibre and Blue gradient colour variants have red coloured power buttons. the variants support C-port for charging, as well
The Redmi K20 Pro weighs 191 grams, which is quite light for a phone with a pop-up camera, with an F2.0 sensor. The phone also gets a 3.5mm headphone jack.
To enhance the Gaming experience, the flagship variants comes up with a Turbo 2.0 gaming software. Also, it clears the RAM and prepares other resources for better performance.
For the rear cameras, the Redmi K20 Pro relies on triple camera setup. The primary camera uses a 48-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor. The secondary 13-megapixel camera is an ultra-wide camera while the third 8-megapixel unit is based on a telephoto camera.
Xiaomi suggests that the camera can do some really good low-light photography and it can make slow motio video of upto 960fps.
The front camera uses a 20-megapixel sensor and it relies on AI algorithms for pulling of portrait mode photos and bokeh effects. The camera can also take ultra-wide-angle photos without the need of any secondary camera.
Both the variants has 4000Mah battery, supported by a 27W fast charger which fills up the battery in 50 minutes.
Also, it supports NFC Payment, GPS and Dual Hi-Fi sound.
