Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah became the fastest Indian pacer to bag 50 wickets in Test cricket.

He achieved this feat on Day 2 of the first Test at Antigua on Friday. It took him just 11 Test matches to scalp wickets for Team India.

Bumrah dismissed Darren Bravo in the 30th over of the Windies innings to mark this historic achievement. Bravo was trapped lbw by Bumrah.

Bumrah is the fastest pacer to 50 test wickets, surpassing Venkatesh Prasad and Mohamed Shami, who had reached this milestone after 13 Test matches.

On the second day, a 60 run stand from Ravindra Jadeja and Ishant Sharma took India’s total to 297. Jadeja played a knock of 58, India’s second-highest scorer of the innings after Rahane’s 81 on Day 1.

In reply, West Indies had a decent before Mohammed Shami dismissed John Campbell. However, It was Ishant Sharma who stormed past the West Indian top order. Sharma scalped a fifer as he dismissed Braithwaite, Chase, Hope, Hetmyer and Roach.

Ravindra Jadeja also bagged a wicket for India.

West Indies are currently trail India by 108 runs and will resume day 3 on 189/8.
